Christopher Botfield
Bachelor Environmental Management

Principal
Christopher spent several years as a senior manager with Dubbo City Council in the
environmental and project management field. This experience provided the foundation
for the establishment of Western Land Planning as a consultancy business in 2000.
As a principal of WLP Christopher has directly developed, supported and managed
major projects funded and supported by all levels of Government. The management
and delivery of Commonwealth contracts has been a major role.
Christopher has been a key member of the team that developed and delivered the Irrigation
Modernisation Planning and Development projects associated with the Trangie-Nevertire
Irrigation Scheme and the Jemalong Irrigation District.
Christopher succeeded his Bachelor's Degree from Charles Sturt University and is
an experienced horticulturist. Chris has extensive experience in the area of
indigenous land management and owner consultations.
David Edmondson

Principal
David commenced his working career on the family farm before completing his agricultural
economics and business qualifications. He spent several years as an employee
of the the then NSW Department of Water Resources directly involved in the delivery
of farm support programmes and agricultural planning projects. David lectured in
the agricultural economics area before co-founding Western Land Planning in 2000.
Davids principle role in recent times has been the management and development
of on farm water efficiency plans for over 300 irrigation properties. This property
information is the cornerstone of the Irrigation Modernisation Plans and proposed
capital applications associated with the Trangie and Jemalong projects. He has also
managed the strategic development Irrigation Modernisation Planning process funding
submissions.
David succeeded his Bachelor's Degrees from University of New England.
Des Anderson Grad
Dip Nat Res, M Environmental Mgt
Project Manager (Farm Planning & Land Management),
Des has been an employee of WLP for more than three years. During this time Des
has developed and supported the Modernisation Planning projects. His principal role
has been to undertake the physical assessment, mapping and report development
associated with each on farm water efficiency planning project.
Des has developed a strong working relationship with farmers and has a thorough
understanding of the principals and operational factors associated with irrigated
agriculture. He has achieved detailed experience in Natural
Resource and Environmental Management, Seminar and Consultancy training, On Farm
Water Efficiency planning working with over 300 irrigation businesses.
Des has a Bachelor Teaching, Graduate Certificate Natural Resources, Masters Environmental
Management
Elizabeth Mansfield
Office Administration,
Elizabeth has been working with WLP for 10 years and has twenty years experience
in business administration and secretarial services.
